Here are some Interesting places where TEFC members have flown. Some destinations have great scenery, others have challenging approaches, but the most treasured places are where pilots like to eat.

One of the nicest places to fly on Long Island is Montauk and it's less than an hour away. Late in September I took a trip with Anthony  Santanastaso out to KMTP.  By the end of the summer it is a bit of a challenge to find the runway, since it is buried it high reed grass and shrubs. But there is a great place to eat, Rick's Crabby Cowboy Cafe, just across the street overlooking Lake Montauk. On the way home, it is hard not to swing around the Point and catch the famous Montauk Lighthouse.
