Pals_021111On Friday, February 11th, I took a trip with Joe Howley, the President of Patient AirLift Services (PALS), from Westchester (HPN) to North East Philadelphia (PNE), to pick up a young patient and his dad, originally from the Republic of Congo. We took them back to their home in Boston (BOS). The patient was visiting a medical facility in North Philadelphia for surgery consultation. The passengers were extemely aprreciative of the service PALS provides. Patient AirLift Services arranges free air transportation based on need to individuals requiring medical care and for other humanitarian purposes. It is built around a network of volunteer pilots who provide this service without reimbursement or compensation using their own or rented aircraft. "It's nice to be important, but it's more importan to be nice!"
